Reviews and Ratings
My stay at Desert Palms was quite enjoyable overall. The rooms were clean and offered good value, featuring a kitchenette and outdoor seating, although the dull decor could use a pop of color. While the pool area was nice, it got crowded, and the dining options were quite limited as the hotel doesn't serve breakfast on-site. There were a few maintenance issues, and the communication regarding after-hours access was lacking, leading to some inconvenience. However, it’s a comfortable spot for a getaway if you're prepared for a few minor hiccups.
I found the hotel to be reasonably priced for the location, which is a bit quiet but still a short walk to the botanical gardens and local restaurants. The separate rooms were comfortable and offered outdoor verandahs, but the interiors were showing signs of age and needed some maintenance. Additionally, I encountered some issues with the reception staff's helpfulness and housekeeping could have been more thorough.
I had a pleasant stay at Desert Palms with good security for my rental vehicle and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. The location was convenient with access to dining options and laundry facilities, but my second experience with the reception staff was disappointing, which affected the overall guest experience. While the amenities were satisfactory, some areas seemed a bit worn and could use improvement.
I was really disappointed with this resort after seeing such lovely photos online. The cabin we were given was dark and felt cramped, almost like a prison cell. The service at the reception was unfriendly, and there were no nearby options for breakfast. Although we had booked and paid for three nights, we couldn't stand it and chose to leave after just one night, opting for a much nicer hotel next door instead. Overall, not worth the money at all.
The Desert Palms Resort was a pleasant oasis, perfect for our group attending a festival. The surroundings were beautiful, but the interior of the villas could use some serious attention. While it had a lovely pool area and a great BBQ setup, it fell short in cleanliness and comfort inside the villas, making it a mixed experience overall.
